I was quite angry with my husband when I found out he’d made plans to go deer hunting the weekend of my birthday.

Turning 30 was a big deal for me and I was not happy that Robert had chosen not to spend it with me. At least my best friend Karen had made plans for my birthday, arriving in a stretch limo to take me to dinner and then on an evening of bar hopping.
