The summer between my junior and senior year of college, I worked as a camp counselor with another girl in my sorority, Alison.
Ali was one year ahead of me, and unlike most of our “sisters” at the elite private school we attended, she and I were both “scholarship kids” — so that in itself made us bond pretty easily.
