I’m considering getting my cock pierced. Will I still be able to use condoms? Will I have to take any other precautions during sex?

I think this is a terrible idea. I got my nipples pierced because I was told it would be “fun” to have more sensitive nipples, and as I’ve said before in this column, sometimes more sensitivity is too much. But if you insist on stabbing metal through your junk, keep a couple of things in mind.
Don’t get a Prince Albert, where the piercing goes through the urethra and around the head of your cock. It will split your urine stream and you will have issues with leakage, which could lead to you needing to sit to pee. Not sexy.
After you get pierced, you’ll need to refrain from sex for about six weeks while your wound heals. You don’t want to rush back into the game until you’re completely healed, as you could damage your penis if you use it too soon after getting pierced; there’s also an increased risk of STI transmission with an open wound.
You can absolutely still use condoms once you’re pierced, but getting them on and off will take some practice. But hey! You can’t have sex for six whole weeks anyway, so you’ll have plenty of time to practice.
