I’m a happily married 38-year-old mother of two. My husband, Simon, is a manager for a large corporation here in town.

I work part-time for a consulting firm, doing most of it from my office at home. I enjoy this arrangement because it allows me to pursue my career, keep up with the housework, and be here when my boys get home from school.

Recently I was offered a promotion, which caused quite a dilemma for me. Though I looked forward to the additional responsibilities and challenges, and an attractive increase in salary, I didn’t think I could continue to do the housework.
