I’m not what you’d call a morning person, but my girlfriend, Chloe, gets up with the sun every day, without fail.

Whenever she wants me to wake up early with her, she knows she has to make it worth my while. So when she planned our vacation and booked our flight for 8 a.m., we both knew she’d have to work hard to get me out the door on time.

It was still dark out when I felt Chloe nudging me awake, and I was barely conscious as she dragged me out of bed and led me toward the bathroom.
