“Are you sure you don’t mind me going out with the guys?” David asked me.
“Do I ever?” I was sprawled on our bed paging through a fashion magazine as nonchalantly as possible. Although David was dressed to go out, I had on a little white nightie trimmed with lace. I didn’t plan to go anywhere.
He kissed my lips. Then he kissed the tip of my nose. “You promise you’re not just saying that?”
“Of course not.” I closed the magazine and smiled at him.
“The thing is that you’re so sweet about it,” he said. “I’ve never had a girlfriend who was so supportive. They’ve all been jealous of poker nights, when all I’m doing is hanging with the guys.”
