Our friends Robert and Tina were over last week.

Tina and I were working on our costumes for an upcoming costume party while Robert and my husband, James, watched a ball game on TV.

I pulled James away from the game and asked him to drive to the store for more glue. When he got up to leave, Tina said she needed some other things and that she’d go with him.

I was still sitting at the table fiddling with things when Robert went to the kitchen to get a fresh beer. I asked him to get me one, too.

Robert brought my beer and put it on the table. He saw me rubbing my neck and offered to massage it. His fingers felt wonderful as he worked out the kinks. He began at my neck and ran his fingers all the way down my arms to my elbows.
