In high spirits, I left to collect on several bets I had made and to treat myself to a victory dinner at a steakhouse.
After dinner I went with several of my Carolina cronies to a watering hole where there were sure to be plenty of N.C. Staters drowning their sorrows. Although there were plenty of good-looking women at the bar, I occupied most of my time gloating over my team‘s victory and speculating about the remainder of the football season.
