One Saturday Delia and Belinda said they wanted a chance to win some money and so wanted to play poker. Jokingly, I suggested that yes, we play for money, but also make it strip poker for the loser of each hand. This produced a chorus of yawping from the girls, but they didn’t say no. So I suggested a rule, thinking of how warm it was and how my wife deals with the heat: Whenever any of us, girl or guy, took off a piece of clothing, the other girl or guy had to take off the same item.
