After being on my feet for three days of instructional seminars at a recent convention, I was tired of wearing a suit and tie. It felt good to just kick back in my T-shirt and shorts, and enjoy a sandwich and a beer in the hotel’s lounge.
I was pleased to see Lynette, a rep for one of the convention’s major vendors. She asked if she could join me, and eagerly I said, “Sure.” I surprised myself because I am not good at remembering names, but Lynette stood out in my memory — she was six-four. I’m six-two, and not used to looking up at women, so she really made an impression.
“Let me buy you a drink,” I said.
Lynette smiled and said, “I’ll just have what you’re having.” I ordered a mojito for Lynette and another for myself.
