Stranger in town discovers diner’s tastiest dish.
I saw her behind the counter the moment I walked in the restaurant. I’d asked the concierge at my hotel for the best place to eat normal food around town. I wasn’t in the mood for the fancy and expensive fare the hotel offered.
“Don’s,“ had been her answer.
It wasn’t Don’s Diner or Don’s Café or Don’s Eatery. It was just Don’s, and I found that immensely attractive.
What made the spot even more appealing was the petite brunette behind the counter. She was small and curvy and had wavy dark hair that fell past her shoulders. When she moved, I caught a glimpse of pink and then red strands. Barrettes? But then she moved again, and I realized they were highlights.
